Is it actually worth it?
The Peninsula is not known for happy hour and Selby Lane is quietly fixing that. The patio catches full afternoon sun until about 6, the pita comes out warm and puffed straight off the griddle, and the whipped feta with hot honey is the plate I think about days later.
Order four small plates for two people and you have a real meal for around $40 in food. The kofta are juicy and generously spiced; the halloumi gets a proper sear rather than a sad warming. The fattoush is bright and crunchy and does the job of making you feel virtuous.
Drinks are competent rather than ambitious — the spritz is a spritz, the Assyrtiko is a smart, saline pick with the feta. Come for the food, stay because nobody's rushing you off the patio.
