Is it actually worth it?
Tiki bars are usually either a museum or a sugar bomb. Kon-Tiki is neither. The mai tai is built on real aged rum with orgeat they make in-house, and at $9 during happy hour it's better than most $18 cocktails downtown.
The food skews fun rather than refined, and that's the correct choice for the room. The pork buns are soft and properly glazed, the musubi is a five-dollar delight, and the crab rangoon is exactly as indulgent as you want it to be. Don't come hungry expecting dinner — come snacky expecting a good time.
The rum flight is the education play. Three pours, a knowledgeable bartender, and you'll leave with an opinion about Jamaican funk.
