Soft Pinch Liquid Blush

One drop. That's the whole review, but I'll keep going.

I put this down for almost a year because I convinced myself I'd outgrown it, and then I borrowed my sister's on a trip to Napa and remembered exactly why the internet lost its mind in the first place. One single drop covers both cheeks. If you use two, you will look like you've been slapped, and I say that as someone who has personally looked like she's been slapped.

What keeps it in my bag is how it behaves on a long day. I put it on at 8am before a shoot, and at 9pm in a dim restaurant it's still there — softened, more like a flush than a product. It doesn't grab on dry patches the way most liquid blushes do, and it layers over my skin tint without lifting anything underneath.

My only real gripe: the doser is too generous, so I tap it onto the back of my hand first and work from there. Do that and the tube lasts you the better part of a year.

How It Compares

I used to reach for the Glossier Cloud Paint, but it dries down faster than I can blend it. This one gives me ninety seconds of working time, which is the difference between blush and regret.

The Final Verdict

"The most forgiving liquid blush I own, and the one I'd repurchase without thinking."
