Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint
Expensive. Worth it. I'm as annoyed about that as you are.
I resisted this for two years on principle — seventy dollars for something that barely covers anything felt absurd. Then I tried it before a dinner in Carmel and spent the entire evening looking at myself in the bathroom mirror like a lunatic. It doesn't look like makeup. It looks like the week you get back from vacation.
It's a water-based tint, so you have to use the little mesh applicator and press it in rather than buff it. Skip that step and it slides. Do it properly and it sits on the skin for about ten hours without going patchy around my nose, which is where every foundation I've owned goes to die.
It is not full coverage and it never will be. On days I have actual breakouts I wear it and spot-conceal on top. On every other day, this plus blush plus brow gel is genuinely my whole face.
Compared to the Armani Luminous Silk I wore through my early twenties, this is half the weight and twice the skin-like finish. Silk still wins if you want coverage; this wins for real life.
