Addict Lip Glow Oil
The one I reapply at red lights.
There is a version of this product in every drugstore for eight dollars and I have tried most of them. They're fine. They're also stickier, and they smell like candy, and they disappear in forty minutes. This one holds a soft tinted shine for hours and leaves my lips actually softer than it found them.
Rosewood is the shade I'd tell anyone to start with — it reads as your lips but slightly better lit. I wear it alone on days off and over a liner when I want something that photographs.
Is forty dollars a lot for a lip oil? Yes. Do I have three of them, one in the car, one in my bag, and one on the nightstand? Also yes. I'm not going to pretend to be reasonable about this one.
The Clarins Lip Comfort Oil is the closest thing at a lower price and it's genuinely good — slightly thinner, slightly shorter wear. If you want to test the category, start there.
