The Yard
South Bay's most underrated dog patio
A gravel courtyard behind a coffee roaster, shaded by two enormous olive trees, with a hose bib in the corner that the staff will absolutely turn on for your dog on a hot day. It's not fancy. It's perfect.
The crowd is a mix of remote workers and Saturday morning dog people, and there's an unspoken etiquette that everyone actually follows — leashes short, no table-feeding, one person always volunteering to hold a leash while you order.
The coffee is a proper light roast that they'll pull as a cortado without making a face about it, and the almond croissant sells out by 10:30. I've done a lot of laptop hours here and never once felt like I'd overstayed.

"The rare working café that's also a genuinely good place to bring a dog."
