The Morning Patio

The Sunday spot where he gets his own menu

Patios
← All pets

This is the first place I ever felt genuinely welcome with a dog rather than politely tolerated. The patio wraps around a courtyard with real shade, the tables are far enough apart that nobody's leash gets tangled, and there's a ceramic water bowl at the host stand that gets refilled without anyone asking.

They do a plain chicken-and-rice bowl for dogs for four dollars, which sounds like a gimmick until you watch a golden retriever lose his entire mind over it. My guy gets it every Sunday and then falls asleep under my chair for the rest of brunch, which is honestly the entire point of the outing.

For me: the espresso is genuinely good, the egg sandwich is on a proper brioche, and I can sit for two hours without a single hovering server. It's the rare pet-friendly place where the food isn't the compromise.

The Final Verdict

"Come at 9am on a Sunday, sit in the far corner, and let the morning go long."
